In today's episode, we chat with pro surfing's First  World Champ Peter "PT" Townend at The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum.  PT talks about how growing up surfing Kirra, with only a few guys out was a very special time, but he knew surfing was going to grow into something much bigger. PT along with Ian Cairns, helped build professional surfing into what it is today, such as live scoring and priority buoys. Peter says that wave pools are the future, and now that we are in the Olympics, surfing is as mainstream as you can get. In fact, the Chinese government employed PT as the head coach of China's very first international surfing team. Peter's philosophy on pro surfing and life is, it's ok to try new things because it brings progression, and never stop thinking outside the box! And is it true that Peter DJs? Find out!
